Using Recora
Recora is a voice recording and transcription app for iPhone. You are responsible for using it lawfully, obtaining any permissions needed to record or share a conversation, and respecting the rights of others.
App Store license and purchases
Apps distributed through the App Store are subject to the applicable license presented with the app. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies where no custom agreement is provided. Purchase terms, availability, and refund procedures are provided by Apple.
Your content
You retain your rights to recordings and other content you create. You control what you record, export, and share. Keep exports of important recordings: local notes are excluded from automatic device backups and are removed when you delete the app.
Transcription and generated results
Transcripts and AI results may contain errors. Review them against the original recording before relying on them. Recora does not guarantee transcription accuracy or that recording will continue through every device or operating-system interruption.
Optional external services
OpenAI processing requires your own API account and key; usage is billed separately by the provider. Configuring NIRAPI may send recordings automatically to your chosen endpoint after you authorize it. External services have their own terms and privacy practices. Disabling sharing cannot recall data already sent.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy describes local storage, device authentication, optional external processing, and sharing.
Questions and changes
Visit the support page for guidance. These terms may be updated as the app changes. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
